Congratulations to 3rd grade artist Jennifer Perez of Mr. Kesaris' class  who won second place in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Art Contest for 3rd- 5th grade!

In Honor Of National Autism Awareness Month

The Mental Health and Special Education Department of Dorothy I. Height Elementary Present :

An Autism Parent Support Series

2 Workshops designed to:

  • Connect parents to other parents of children identified as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder 
  • Connect parents to district and community resources 
  • Help parents learn from the perspective of adults with Autism 
  • Answer questions and empower families in supporting their children on the spectrum

THURSDAY, APRIL 6TH 4:15-5:30pm  “Living With Autism: From Childhood to Adulthood"Have you ever thought—”How will Autism affect my child later in life?” Join us for a conversation with parents of children with Autism who have made the transitions to middle and/or high school and adults living (and thriving) with Autism.

THURSDAY, APRIL 13TH 4:15-5:30pm “Community Connections” Join us and a representative from DC Public Schools Central Office team to learn about what other services and support DCPS can offer you and your student. We will also be providing information on local organizations , summer camps, and upcoming events. BOTH Sessions will be held at Dorothy I.
